They wait to be called to duty, ready to respond when needed. Their heroic acts not only touch the lives of our students, but our colleagues and programs around campus. They’re enthusiastic about changing lives, passionate about education, and have great personalities to boot! They are iGive Leadership Volunteers.
No light sabers, supersonic screwdrivers or tool belts are required to volunteer. Just bring your smile and get ready to see what happens when you and the rest of our NWACC community combine powers!
To join or get more details, please contact Karen O’Donohoe at (479) 619-4321 or email@example.com.
All staff and faculty, please join us for a retirement reception for Connie Bondurant, long-time NWACC Foundation Business Manager, this Thursday, June 29. Drop in from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Burns Hall 3rd Floor, Board of Trustees Conference Room.
Please be certain that your timesheets for pay period ending July 1, 2017, are submitted and approved BEFORE you leave campus today, Thursday, June 29.
We anticipate that many employees will take off Monday, July 3, because of the holiday on July 4, and the chance for a 5 day weekend! We will be processing the July 7 payroll on Monday, July 3, and timesheets that are not submitted cannot be processed. Supervisors, please check your e-mail that morning (July 3) just in case we encounter any problems with your employees’ timesheets.
Call Robin Roitz at 619-4392 or Julie Doner at 619-4131 if you have any questions or need additional information.
Construction will be going on in the art alley at Burns Hall starting Friday, July 7. The construction will continue each Monday –Thursday after 1 p.m., and each Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Aug. 4.
This will be very noisy at times, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Members of the college community,
We’re asking you to help us in keeping you and our entire college community safe.
If you are working at NWACC during a time when we are typically scheduled to be closed, please check in with the Department of Public Safety officers by calling 619-4229.
For example, if you are on campus on a Saturday or Sunday when the college is closed, we ask that you check in with DPS by calling the number (4229) and provide your NWACC ID card to sign in. Upon leaving the building, please remember to sign out.
This process will help us know who’s in the buildings and ensure that all building occupants are evacuated in case of an emergency.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance in this matter. We appreciate your help as we try to keep our college and its students, faculty and staff safe.
— Chief Steve Tosh & the Department of Public Safety
To enhance and expedite travel reimbursements, NorthWest Arkansas Community College is announcing some changes.
Beginning July 1, 2017 NWACC will convert to direct deposit (ACH) on all travel reimbursements. In lieu of receiving a check, the funds will be sent via electronic transfer and will be automatically credited to your preferred account at your financial institution.
You will still submit your TR-1 for processing as usual. Once it is approved and processed for payment an electronic remittance advice will be sent to your NWACC employee email account and your bank account will be credited.
You will need to complete the authorization form so we know the account to credit. You may elect the same account you use for your paycheck, or another account. After completing and signing, please return the form to the Finance Department – Attention: Diane Gower.
Following is the link to the form: http://content.nwacc.edu/administrativeservices/finance/Travel/Travel%20Direct%20Deposit%20Formweb.pdf
Please contact Diane at 479-619-4378 if you have any questions about this process.

Mental health is a key part of your overall health. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a mental health professional – it’s a checkup from your neck up. To take a screening, CLICK HERE or go to NWACC/Campus and Community Resources. Screenings do not provide a diagnosis of any medical condition. The information provided by the screenings do not substitute for a full evaluation by a health professional.
