Retirement Reception for Sgt. Mike Neville June 28 (TODAY)

A retirement reception for Sgt. Mike Neville is planned for June 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Department of Public Safety Office in the Center for Health Professions.

Neville joined the college staff in March of 2010.

Come join us as we thank him for his service and wish him well!

Math Center Hours for July 2 – August 2 (NEW)

Between July 2 and August 2, free math tutoring will be available in the Math Center (SC 344A) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. In addition, free math tutoring will be available in the Library on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Math Department Work Study Position Available (NEW)

The Math Department is accepting applications for a work study position.

All applicants must have a FAFSA on file and have remaining student aid eligibility.

The salary is $9 per hour and the maximum number of hours that can be worked is 15 per week. For more information, open the attached document (Math Work Study Position) or contact Tess O’Brien at tobrien@nwacc.edu.

Documentary About Adverse Childhood Experiences To Be Screened July 18

NWACC will be the host site for the July 18 screening of the film “Resilience” through a collaboration with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County.

This is a documentary about the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how the impact of toxic stress can alter brain development and have lifelong effects on health and behavior. The purpose of this screening is to help explain the impact of trauma on children and elicit an opportunity to have critical conversations as to how we respond, and most importantly, prevent toxic stress from even occurring.

The screening will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at NorthWest Arkansas Community College in room 1039 of the Melba Shewmaker Southern Regional National Child Protection Training Center. It’s a brown bag event, so you are welcome to bring your lunch.

Beethoven in Vienna

NWACC Professor of Music Miles Fish, recipient of NWACC Foundation’s Conrad Krauft Grant, is in Austria researching “Beethoven in Vienna”.

Parking Garage Maintenance

Starting July 2nd and ending August 15th, the parking garage 2nd through the 5th floor will be closed for annual maintenance.

O’Deli Will Be Closed For Summer Starting June 27

Starting June 27, O’Deli and Lindy’s Café will be closed for the rest of the summer. The locations will re-open on August 20 for the first day of classes.

NWACC Fitness Center Will Be Closed This Week

The NWACC Fitness Center will be closed June 25-29. Flooring American By CarpetSmart will be installing new flooring for the center.

Some Copier Machines Will Be Changed Out This Week

The college will be changing out some of its copier machines across campus this week, June 26th through June 28th.  We anticipate the disruption in service to be minimal.

We will be migrating some of our current Canon MFP copiers to Sharp MFP copiers. The new devices will operate the same way they do in the library with some minor differences.

Purchasing Department

Purging of Records/ Files 

Many of you have contacted the Operations Department about the process for the annual purging of records and files and items that you have that need to be shredded. The Shred-it company does all of the College shredding under contract and direction of Operations and the Physical Plant.

If you have a large amount of items that have to be shredded, please email Grace Woodson and let her know your department, the department’s account number, and the approximate amount that will be shredded. This information will be given to Nancy Mills to bill the appropriate departments.

Grace will arrange with the Shred-it company to make a one-time shredding for all the departments at the same time. Because the annual shredding is not part of the contract, each department involved will share the cost. If you have any questions, please contact Grace at 479-986-4092 or gwoodson@nwacc.edu.

Bentonville Fire Department Training on June 29 and July 6

The Bentonville Fire Department will be doing emergency response/victim triage training June 22, June 29 and July 6 at the National Child Protection Training Center. Training will begin on those days at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 2 p.m.

Emergency vehicles will be present in the parking lot on those days. No sirens or noisy equipment will be used.

Tutoring is available for the summer sessions.

Summer Transfer Visits 

Representatives from area colleges and universities frequently visit NWACC to speak to transfer students about their future academic goals.

This summer, these institutions typically will be in the Student Center lobby. Please consult the list below when making plans to visit with college/university recruiters.

NWACC Food Pantry in Need of Donations

Thanks to all the wonderful NWACC employees, students, and supporters, the NWACC Food Pantry has been operated solely on a donation basis.

In the 2.5 years we have been open we have never had to purchase food and have served more than 500 students, employees, and their families. We are once again looking to our NWACC family for donations. The pantry currently needs the following items:

  • Canned fruit
  • Gluten-free items
  • Meals in a can such as Chef Boyardee ravioli and beef-a-roni
  • Canned meat such as Spam, chicken, and tuna
  • Individual serving size snacks such as pretzels, snack cakes, chips, etc.

We also have some dietary needs that require rice products.

We have also recently started stocking personal hygiene items such as shampoo and are in need of shampoo, conditioner, and men’s deodorant.

Donations may be taken to the Student Information Center in the Becky Paneitz Student Center or to Becky Hudson in SC 225 H. Monetary donations are also accepted. For more information contact Becky Hudson at rhudson1@nwacc.edu

SUMMER SCHEDULES

Summer Hours for the Testing Center

The Testing Center will have the following hours May 21 – August 4, 2018.

Monday and Tuesday     8:30 am – 6:30 pm

Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Last placement test is started at 5:00 p.m. each day.  All NWACC tests (if allowed by instructor) have two hours past closing time to be completed.  Testing Center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. If you have any questions about appointments, please email us at testingcenter@nwacc.edu.

Summer Efficiencies Schedule 

The Summer Efficiencies Schedule is underway with College being open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for selected programs.

The College will return to its 5-day work week beginning August 6, 2018.

We hope this information will be helpful as you plan meetings, vacations, and other events.

Student Services Summer Hours

Student Services will follow the same Summer Efficiency Schedule as the College.

Nursing Information Sessions Requirement

The NWACC Nursing program will be requiring all applicants to have attended a Pre-Nursing Information Session within one year prior to applying to the program beginning with the Track I application taken spring 2019 for fall 2019 admittance.

Students who have not attended a session within the designated time will not be eligible for the Nursing program. Students must have on record that they have attended a session by the deadline of the application period they are applying to.

Dental Assisting Program Applications

The Dental Assisting Program applications will be available beginning April 1 on the Dental Assisting Program page of the NWACC website: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/programs_dental_assisting/

Applications will be accepted through mid-August. Interviews are scheduled on a first-to-apply, first-to-interview process. Interviews will begin mid-April. Once the roster is filled, applicants’ names will be placed on a waiting list for changes to the roster. Health Information Management Application Now Open (DEADLINE JULY 1)

The Health Information Management (HIM) application can be found at: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/academics_healthProfessions/applications Students must have a NWACC username and password in order to apply.

To submit an application, click on the “Health Professions Applications” button, enter your NWACC username and password, select the Program you want to apply to, answer the questions on the page, and submit. You will then be redirected back to the Health Professions Program Applications page, on that page next to Health Information Management, there is a document you can open, it has information about the Health Information Management program eligibility requirements and selection criteria, be sure and read this page, there are additional requirements that need to be done to complete your application. Washington County Groundbreaking Event Slated June 27

You’re invited to a groundbreaking event for the new NWACC Washington County facility in Springdale. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. June 27 at 6101 Watkins Avenue in Springdale (west of Arvest Ballpark).

Come join Dr. Jorgenson, the NWACC Board of Trustees, and the NWACC Foundation as we mark this milestone!

Renewal of Mobile Device Allowances (Deadline June 27 – TODAY)

Mobile device allowances will expire at the June 30th year end. To be eligible for renewal, you must have a business need for the device and must submit a Mobile Device Allowance Request Form to your Department Head and Cabinet Representative for approval. The approved forms must be turned into the Controller’s Office no later than June 27th in order to be processed by Payroll for the July reimbursement. Renewal of Mobile Device Allowances (Deadline June 27)

Mobile device allowances will expire at the June 30th year end. To be eligible for renewal, you must have a business need for the device and must submit a Mobile Device Allowance Request Form to your Department Head and Cabinet Representative for approval. The approved forms must be turned into the Controller’s Office no later than June 27th in order to be processed by Payroll for the July reimbursement. O’Deli Will Be Closed For Summer Starting June 27

Starting June 27, O’Deli and Lindy’s Café will be closed for the rest of the summer. The locations will re-open on August 20 for the first day of classes.

Retirement Reception for Sgt. Mike Neville June 28

A retirement reception for Sgt. Mike Neville is planned for June 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Department of Public Safety Office in the Center for Health Professions.

Neville joined the college staff in March of 2010.

NWACC Fitness Center Will Be Closed This Week

The NWACC Fitness Center will be closed June 25-29. Flooring American By CarpetSmart will be installing new flooring for the center.

Some Copier Machines Will Be Changed Out This Week

The college will be changing out some of its copier machines across campus this week, June 26th through June 28th.  We anticipate the disruption in service to be minimal.

We will be migrating some of our current Canon MFP copiers to Sharp MFP copiers. The new devices will operate the same way they do in the library with some minor differences.

Purging of Records/ Files 

Many of you have contacted the Operations Department about the process for the annual purging of records and files and items that you have that need to be shredded. The Shred-it company does all of the College shredding under contract and direction of Operations and the Physical Plant.

If you have a large amount of items that have to be shredded, please email Grace Woodson and let her know your department, the department’s account number, and the approximate amount that will be shredded. This information will be given to Nancy Mills to bill the appropriate departments.

Grace will arrange with the Shred-it company to make a one-time shredding for all the departments at the same time. Because the annual shredding is not part of the contract, each department involved will share the cost. If you have any questions, please contact Grace at 479-986-4092 or gwoodson@nwacc.edu.

Bentonville Fire Department Training on June 29 and July 6

The Bentonville Fire Department will be doing emergency response/victim triage training June 22, June 29 and July 6 at the National Child Protection Training Center. Training will begin on those days at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 2 p.m.

Emergency vehicles will be present in the parking lot on those days. No sirens or noisy equipment will be used.

NWACC Food Pantry in Need of Donations

Thanks to all the wonderful NWACC employees, students, and supporters, the NWACC Food Pantry has been operated solely on a donation basis.

In the 2.5 years we have been open we have never had to purchase food and have served more than 500 students, employees, and their families. We are once again looking to our NWACC family for donations. The pantry currently needs the following items:

  • Canned fruit
  • Gluten-free items
  • Meals in a can such as Chef Boyardee ravioli and beef-a-roni
  • Canned meat such as Spam, chicken, and tuna
  • Individual serving size snacks such as pretzels, snack cakes, chips, etc.

We also have some dietary needs that require rice products.

We have also recently started stocking personal hygiene items such as shampoo and are in need of shampoo, conditioner, and men’s deodorant.

Donations may be taken to the Student Information Center in the Becky Paneitz Student Center or to Becky Hudson in SC 225 H. Monetary donations are also accepted. For more information contact Becky Hudson at rhudson1@nwacc.edu

SUMMER SCHEDULES

Summer Hours for the Testing Center

The Testing Center will have the following hours May 21 – August 4, 2018.

Monday and Tuesday     8:30 am – 6:30 pm

Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Last placement test is started at 5:00 p.m. each day.  All NWACC tests (if allowed by instructor) have two hours past closing time to be completed.  Testing Center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. Math Center Hours for May 29 – June 29

Between May 29 and June 29, free math tutoring will be available in the Math Center (SC 344A) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Summer Efficiencies Schedule 

The Summer Efficiencies Schedule is underway with College being open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for selected programs.

Nursing Information Sessions Requirement

The NWACC Nursing program will be requiring all applicants to have attended a Pre-Nursing Information Session within one year prior to applying to the program beginning with the Track I application taken spring 2019 for fall 2019 admittance.

Students who have not attended a session within the designated time will not be eligible for the Nursing program. Students must have on record that they have attended a session by the deadline of the application period they are applying to.

Dental Assisting Program Applications

The Dental Assisting Program applications will be available beginning April 1 on the Dental Assisting Program page of the NWACC website: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/programs_dental_assisting/

Applications will be accepted through mid-August. Interviews are scheduled on a first-to-apply, first-to-interview process. Interviews will begin mid-April. The Bentonville Fire Department will be doing emergency response/victim triage training June 22, June 29 and July 6 at the National Child Protection Training Center. Training will begin on those days at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 2 p.m.

Emergency vehicles will be present in the parking lot on those days. No sirens or noisy equipment will be used.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Blood Mobile will be at NWACC on June 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Summer always brings a greater need for blood donations. All donors receive a free T-shirt.

Renewal of Mobile Device Allowances

Mobile device allowances will expire at the June 30th year end. To be eligible for renewal, you must have a business need for the device and must submit a Mobile Device Allowance Request Form to your Department Head and Cabinet Representative for approval. The approved forms must be turned into the Controller’s Office no later than June 27th in order to be processed by Payroll for the July reimbursement. NWACC Food Pantry in Need of Donations

Thanks to all the wonderful NWACC employees, students, and supporters, the NWACC Food Pantry has been operated solely on a donation basis.

In the 2.5 years we have been open we have never had to purchase food and have served more than 500 students, employees, and their families. We are once again looking to our NWACC family for donations. The pantry currently needs the following items:

  • Canned fruit
  • Gluten-free items
  • Meals in a can such as Chef Boyardee ravioli and beef-a-roni
  • Canned meat such as Spam, chicken, and tuna
  • Individual serving size snacks such as pretzels, snack cakes, chips, etc.

We also have some dietary needs that require rice products.

We have also recently started stocking personal hygiene items such as shampoo and are in need of shampoo, conditioner, and men’s deodorant.

Donations may be taken to the Student Information Center in the Becky Paneitz Student Center or to Becky Hudson in SC 225 H. Monetary donations are also accepted. For more information contact Becky Hudson at rhudson1@nwacc.edu

Run for Good: NWACC at the LPGA!

Lace up your shoes, put together a rocking playlist and join Team NWACC in participating in the Corporate Challenge at the 5k @ the LPGA event on June 23 at the Walmart AMP!

The event includes a 1k (0.62 miles) and 5k (3.1 miles) course where participants can run, walk, and/or run/walk the distance. Registration cost is $20 until June 16. Participants receive a ticket to the LPGA tournament, performance race shirt, race medal, breakfast and more!

The Corporate Challenge awards offices for Fastest Office, Fittest Office, and Most Spirited Office.

Register to participate or come out and support NWACC as they compete for these awards. It is perfectly fine and acceptable to walk the entire course. Go at your pace! A related flyer is attached —  LPGA poster.

Summer Hours for the Testing Center

The Testing Center will have the following hours May 21 – August 4, 2018.

Monday and Tuesday     8:30 am – 6:30 pm

Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Last placement test is started at 5:00 p.m. each day.  All NWACC tests (if allowed by instructor) have two hours past closing time to be completed.  Testing Center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. Math Center Hours for May 29 – June 29

Between May 29 and June 29, free math tutoring will be available in the Math Center (SC 344A) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. In addition, free math tutoring will be available in the Library on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Please open the attached Math Center summer schedule for further details.

Summer Efficiencies Schedule 

The Summer Efficiencies Schedule is underway with College being open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for selected programs.

The College will return to its 5-day work week beginning August 6, 2018.

Nursing Information Sessions Requirement

The NWACC Nursing program will be requiring all applicants to have attended a Pre-Nursing Information Session within one year prior to applying to the program beginning with the Track I application taken spring 2019 for fall 2019 admittance.

Students who have not attended a session within the designated time will not be eligible for the Nursing program. Students must have on record that they have attended a session by the deadline of the application period they are applying to.

Dental Assisting Program Applications

The Dental Assisting Program applications will be available beginning April 1 on the Dental Assisting Program page of the NWACC website: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/programs_dental_assisting/

Applications will be accepted through mid-August. Interviews are scheduled on a first-to-apply, first-to-interview process. Interviews will begin mid-April. Once the roster is filled, applicants’ names will be placed on a waiting list for changes to the roster. Health Information Management Application Now Open

The Health Information Management (HIM) application can be found at: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/academics_healthProfessions/applications Students must have a NWACC username and password in order to apply.

To submit an application, click on the “Health Professions Applications” button, enter your NWACC username and password, select the Program you want to apply to, answer the questions on the page, and submit. You will then be redirected back to the Health Professions Program Applications page, on that page next to Health Information Management, there is a document you can open, it has information about the Health Information Management program eligibility requirements and selection criteria, be sure and read this page, there are additional requirements that need to be done to complete your application. Purging of Records/ Files (NEW)

Many of you have contacted the Operations Department about the process for the annual purging of records and files and items that you have that need to be shredded. The Shred-it company does all of the College shredding under contract and direction of Operations and the Physical Plant.

If you have a large amount of items that have to be shredded, please email Grace Woodson and let her know your department, the department’s account number, and the approximate amount that will be shredded. This information will be given to Nancy Mills to bill the appropriate departments.

Grace will arrange with the Shred-it company to make a one-time shredding for all the departments at the same time. Because the annual shredding is not part of the contract, each department involved will share the cost. If you have any questions, please contact Grace at 479-986-4092 or gwoodson@nwacc.edu.

Renewal of Mobile Device Allowances

Mobile device allowances will expire at the June 30th year end. To be eligible for renewal, you must have a business need for the device and must submit a Mobile Device Allowance Request Form to your Department Head and Cabinet Representative for approval. The approved forms must be turned into the Controller’s Office no later than June 27th in order to be processed by Payroll for the July reimbursement. NWACC Food Pantry in Need of Donations (UPDATED)

Thanks to all the wonderful NWACC employees, students, and supporters, the NWACC Food Pantry has been operated solely on a donation basis.

In the 2.5 years we have been open we have never had to purchase food and have served more than 500 students, employees, and their families. We are once again looking to our NWACC family for donations. The pantry currently needs the following items:

  • Canned fruit
  • Gluten-free items
  • Meals in a can such as Chef Boyardee ravioli and beef-a-roni
  • Canned meat such as Spam, chicken, and tuna
  • Individual serving size snacks such as pretzels, snack cakes, chips, etc.

We also have some dietary needs that require rice products.

We have also recently started stocking personal hygiene items such as shampoo and are in need of shampoo, conditioner, and men’s deodorant.

Donations may be taken to the Student Information Center in the Becky Paneitz Student Center or to Becky Hudson in SC 225 H. Monetary donations are also accepted. For more information contact Becky Hudson at rhudson1@nwacc.edu

Run for Good: NWACC at the LPGA!

Lace up your shoes, put together a rocking playlist and join Team NWACC in participating in the Corporate Challenge at the 5k @ the LPGA event on June 23 at the Walmart AMP!

The event includes a 1k (0.62 miles) and 5k (3.1 miles) course where participants can run, walk, and/or run/walk the distance. Registration cost is $20 until June 16. Participants receive a ticket to the LPGA tournament, performance race shirt, race medal, breakfast and more!

The Corporate Challenge awards offices for Fastest Office, Fittest Office, and Most Spirited Office.

Register to participate or come out and support NWACC as they compete for these awards. It is perfectly fine and acceptable to walk the entire course. Go at your pace! A related flyer is attached —  LPGA poster.

Summer Hours for the Testing Center

The Testing Center will have the following hours May 21 – August 4, 2018.

Monday and Tuesday     8:30 am – 6:30 pm

Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Last placement test is started at 5:00 p.m. each day.  All NWACC tests (if allowed by instructor) have two hours past closing time to be completed.  Testing Center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer. Math Center Hours for May 29 – June 29

Between May 29 and June 29, free math tutoring will be available in the Math Center (SC 344A) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Nursing Information Sessions Requirement

The NWACC Nursing program will be requiring all applicants to have attended a Pre-Nursing Information Session within one year prior to applying to the program beginning with the Track I application taken spring 2019 for fall 2019 admittance.

Students who have not attended a session within the designated time will not be eligible for the Nursing program. Students must have on record that they have attended a session by the deadline of the application period they are applying to.

Dental Assisting Program Applications

The Dental Assisting Program applications will be available beginning April 1 on the Dental Assisting Program page of the NWACC website: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/programs_dental_assisting/

Applications will be accepted through mid-August. Interviews are scheduled on a first-to-apply, first-to-interview process. Interviews will begin mid-April. Once the roster is filled, applicants’ names will be placed on a waiting list for changes to the roster. Health Information Management Application Now Open

The Health Information Management (HIM) application can be found at: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/academics_healthProfessions/applications Students must have a NWACC username and password in order to apply.

To submit an application, click on the “Health Professions Applications” button, enter your NWACC username and password, select the Program you want to apply to, answer the questions on the page, and submit. You will then be redirected back to the Health Professions Program Applications page, on that page next to Health Information Management, there is a document you can open, it has information about the Health Information Management program eligibility requirements and selection criteria, be sure and read this page, there are additional requirements that need to be done to complete your application. (you do not have to submit an application to see this page).

The Summer Efficiencies Schedule is underway with College being open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, except for selected programs.

The College will return to its 5-day work week beginning August 6, 2018.

The Math Department is seeking a highly reliable and motivated student to fill a work-study position. The position primarily involves cleaning math classrooms and related spaces and maintaining departmental calculators. Requires availability evenings and Fridays and Saturdays. HEALTH PROFESSIONS

Nursing Information Sessions Requirement

The NWACC Nursing program will be requiring all applicants to have attended a Pre-Nursing Information Session within one year prior to applying to the program beginning with the Track I application taken spring 2019 for fall 2019 admittance.

Students who have not attended a session within the designated time will not be eligible for the Nursing program. Students must have on record that they have attended a session by the deadline of the application period they are applying to.

Dental Assisting Program Applications

The Dental Assisting Program applications will be available beginning April 1 on the Dental Assisting Program page of the NWACC website: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/programs_dental_assisting/

Applications will be accepted through mid-August. Interviews are scheduled on a first-to-apply, first-to-interview process. Interviews will begin mid-April. Once the roster is filled, applicants’ names will be placed on a waiting list for changes to the roster. Health Information Management Application Now Open

The Health Information Management (HIM) application can be found at: https://www.nwacc.edu/web/academics_healthProfessions/applications Students must have a NWACC username and password in order to apply.

To submit an application, click on the “Health Professions Applications” button, enter your NWACC username and password, select the Program you want to apply to, answer the questions on the page, and submit. You will then be redirected back to the Health Professions Program Applications page, on that page next to Health Information Management, there is a document you can open, it has information about the Health Information Management program eligibility requirements and selection criteria, be sure and read this page, there are additional requirements that need to be done to complete your application. (you do not have to submit an application to see this page).

Retirement Reception for Sgt. Mike Neville June 28

A retirement reception for Sgt. Mike Neville is planned for June 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Department of Public Safety Office in the Center for Health Professions.

Neville joined the college staff in March of 2010.

Representatives from area colleges and universities frequently visit NWACC to speak to transfer students about their future academic goals.

Summer Blood Drive June 26

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks Blood Mobile will be at NWACC on June 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Summer always brings a greater need for blood donations. All donors receive a free T-shirt.

Renewal of Mobile Device Allowances

Mobile device allowances will expire at the June 30th year end. To be eligible for renewal, you must have a business need for the device and must submit a Mobile Device Allowance Request Form to your Department Head and Cabinet Representative for approval. The approved forms must be turned into the Controller’s Office no later than June 27th in order to be processed by Payroll for the July reimbursement. NWACC Food Pantry in Need of Donations (UPDATED)

Thanks to all the wonderful NWACC employees, students, and supporters, the NWACC Food Pantry has been operated solely on a donation basis.

In the 2.5 years we have been open we have never had to purchase food and have served more than 500 students, employees, and their families. We are once again looking to our NWACC family for donations. The pantry currently needs the following items:

  • Canned fruit
  • Gluten-free items
  • Meals in a can such as Chef Boyardee ravioli and beef-a-roni
  • Canned meat such as Spam, chicken, and tuna
  • Individual serving size snacks such as pretzels, snack cakes, chips, etc.

We also have some dietary needs that require rice products.

We have also recently started stocking personal hygiene items such as shampoo and are in need of shampoo, conditioner, and men’s deodorant.

Donations may be taken to the Student Information Center in the Becky Paneitz Student Center or to Becky Hudson in SC 225 H. Monetary donations are also accepted. For more information contact Becky Hudson at rhudson1@nwacc.edu

Run for Good: NWACC at the LPGA!

Lace up your shoes, put together a rocking playlist and join Team NWACC in participating in the Corporate Challenge at the 5k @ the LPGA event on June 23 at the Walmart AMP!

The event includes a 1k (0.62 miles) and 5k (3.1 miles) course where participants can run, walk, and/or run/walk the distance. Registration cost is $20 until June 16. Participants receive a ticket to the LPGA tournament, performance race shirt, race medal, breakfast and more!

The Corporate Challenge awards offices for Fastest Office, Fittest Office, and Most Spirited Office.

Register to participate or come out and support NWACC as they compete for these awards. It is perfectly fine and acceptable to walk the entire course. Go at your pace! A related flyer is attached —  LPGA poster.
